Aboard your own Luxurious Houseboat
These graceful Houseboats, or Kettuvalloms, were originally used for transporting rice and spices through the myriad of backwater lakes and canals. Built from local materials - planks of wood strapped together without using any nails - then coated with a special black resin made from the shells of boiled cashew nuts - now totally transformed into luxurious accommodation.
