Day Two

After a delicious breakfast your driver will transport you to Munnar for your two night stay.

Day Three

A day spent sightseeing - your driver will take you on a wonderful voyage through this beautiful area, relax overnight at your hotel.

Day Four

After breakfast your driver will take you to Cochin Airport for your return home.

Met personally at the airport your Driver will transport you across the ancient town of Cochin, known as the ‘Queen of Arabian Seas’ to check into your chosen hotel for your overnight stay.

Your driver will then take you on a magical tour –helping you uncover the many highlights of Fort Cochin including:

The oldest European Church in India – the historic St Francis Church, originally built in 1503, has rightly become a much visited landmark in Cochin.

Marvel at the magnificent medieval Mattancherry Palace built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Kochi in 1555AD, gaining the name The Dutch Palace after extensions and extensive renovations in 1663 were carried out by the Dutch.

Be dazzled by the opulent splendours housed within the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth – built in 1586 the Paradesi Synagogue is home to the beautifully carved teak Arc that contains the scrolls from the Jewish Torah and gold crowns set with gems from the Royal Family of Cochin.
Admire the ancient, individual, hand painted floor tiles from China, the gold pulpit and the chandeliers from Belgium.

Will the amazing Chinese Fishing Nets become one of your favourite Kerala Moments – seemingly suspended on bamboo and teak poles in mid-air over the sea the outstretched nets are worked by teams of 6 fishermen.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore this wonderful and vibrant old town, wander at your leisure meandering through the myriad of winding walkways uncovering antique bazaars and exotic spice markets before relaxing at your Hotel and the next stage of your Journey through Kerala.

Cochin ~ Munnar
Location: Munnar

Collected after breakfast by your personal driver - experience the spectacular, dramatic drive to Munnar one of the highest points on the towering Western Ghats approximately 1600 metres above sea level.

Explore the dazzling scenery - beautiful lakes, sparkling reservoirs, tropical forests and the gentle slopes of tea estates.

Standing at the confluence of three rivers - Muthirappuzh, Nallathanni and Kundala - Moonu in Tamil means `three` and Aar `river`.

Now a major centre for Kerala`s tea industry - this beautiful area was once the chosen summer resort for the British Government.

Relax at your Hotel - the highly rated, specially selected Windemere Estate Hotel and the Tall Trees Hotel have been chosen for their fabulous locations.

In the afternoon explore the natural beauty of this stunning area.

Munnar
Location: Munnar

In the morning after breakfast, your personal driver will wend his way through the stunning scenery of the Munnar Hills, stopping to visit the beautiful grounds of the Eravikulam National Park, home not only to the rare, endangered Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat) but to many other species of wildlife.

Continuing through the dramatic countryside we will take time to stop and visit the impressive Matteputtey Dam and beautiful Lake.

Driving through local villages our tour of this fabulous and remarkable area culminates with a visit to a Kerala Tea Plantation.
