Elaine's visit to Kerala - November 2012
After a successful visit to meet up with old friends and meet with owners of new properties at the WTM - Elaine visited Kerala in November to check on the properties we use - stay at new properties and locations - and, with fellow members of her Children of Kerala charity, check to make sure that their charity projects are progressing well and to find new areas that require assistance.
We are delighted to confirm that we now are able to add several fabulous properties to our list of suggested hotels - these include the stunning Fragrant Nature Resort beautifully located on the banks of Kerala Backwaters - our guests enjoyed their hospitality over the New Year - the beautiful Marari Villas in Marikulam - the delightful Killians and Tower House Hotels in Cochin and the Lake Song located in Kumarakom. In addition the Somatheeram in Kovalam once again proved a wonderful place for Elaine and her associates to stay during their time in Kovalam. Kerala Tour - November 2010
Sarah and Elaine visited Kerala during November 10 to check on locations and hotels and explore new areas and accommodation to offer our guests - we went from the rain forests in Wayanad in the North of Kerala to the tea plantations clinging to the slopes of the Western Ghat Mountains, via Cochin backwaters to the carpets of manicured tea plantations in Munnar - through spectacular scenery to Thekkady - down to the beaches in Kovalam - back to explore the backwaters before finally checking our hotels in Cochin.
We met with old friends at Hotels we recommend and found some fabulous new ones to add to our collection - all guaranteed to please whatever your budget.

We have now added Ooty to our places we have personally visted and inspected! Elaine returned from her visit to Kerala having travelled to Ooty and experienced the wonderful 'toy train' ride up the mountain.
